Casablanca, Morocco

Morocco's modern economic capital — art deco, the Hassan II Mosque, and the easiest international gateway.

Airport

Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN)

Region

Atlantic coast · Central Morocco

Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and main international airport hub (CMN). It is not the imperial-romantic Morocco of postcards — it's a working modern metropolis with art-deco architecture from the French period, an Atlantic corniche, and the staggering Hassan II Mosque on the water. Most travellers transit through; we build it in as a half-day for those who want to see it properly.

FAQ

Casablanca — common questions

Is Casablanca worth visiting?+

For most leisure travellers, a half-day around the Hassan II Mosque and downtown is enough. Spend your nights in Marrakech, Fes or Essaouira instead.

Should I fly into Casablanca or Marrakech?+

Casablanca (CMN) has more long-haul flights; Marrakech (RAK) is closer to most itineraries. We often book the open-jaw: in to CMN, out from RAK.
